Job Description:
A senior-level professional responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of Enterprise Data Platforms (EDP) and AI/ML solutions. The candidate should possess extensive experience in data architecture, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and be capable of providing strategic guidance and best practices. They should be able to demonstrate value through Proof of Concepts (POCs) and pilot projects. The candidate should have a strong background in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, and be familiar with both relational and NoSQL database architectures and designs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of EDP and AI/ML architectures to meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain EDP and AI/ML models for high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Provide strategic guidance on best practices for EDP and AI/ML implementation and integration.
- Optimize AI/ML model performance through data preprocessing, feature engineering, and algorithm tuning.
- Implement data security best practices to safeguard sensitive information within the EDP and AI/ML environments.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate AI/ML models into application software and data pipelines.
- Monitor the health of EDP and AI/ML environments and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
- Troubleshoot issues within EDP and AI/ML models and perform root cause analysis.
- Stay current with EDP, AI, and ML best practices, trends, and technologies.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in best practices and advanced techniques.
- Develop and present Proof of Concepts (POCs) and pilot projects to demonstrate the value of EDP and AI/ML solutions to stakeholders.
- Document and communicate the strategy, progress, and impact of AI/ML initiatives to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
- Proven experience as an EDP and AI/ML Principal or similar role in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- In-depth knowledge of EDP and AI/ML architectures, features, and functionality.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML model deployment, configuration, and administration.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical models, and data security principles.
- Experience with AI/ML monitoring and performance tuning tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and present POCs and pilot projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in AI/ML (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer).
- Preferred Active MBI Clearance.
- At least/Minimum 3 Years on GC status.
- 100% Remote.
- Long term Contract; Federal Government Contract.
