Job Description:
A senior-level professional who is responsible for designing the overall database architecture for an application or a set of applications based on organization and domain knowledge using MongoDB. Candidate should have experience with high availability and scalability methods and techniques, and knowledge of application development, deployment and maintenance. Should have experience in programming languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, and knowledge of relational and NOSQL database architecture and design.
Responsibilities:
- Design MongoDB database schemas and data models to meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain MongoDB clusters for high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Optimize MongoDB database performance through indexing, query optimization, and server tuning.
- Implement data security best practices to safeguard sensitive information.
- Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate MongoDB databases with application software.
- Monitor MongoDB database health and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Stay current with MongoDB best practices, trends, and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a MongoDB Architect or similar role in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- In-depth knowledge of MongoDB architecture, features, and functionality.
